Re:Garde

Age-related vision loss can reduce independence, quality of life, and the ability to engage in daily activities such as reading, driving, and communication. Growing evidence also suggests a link between visual impairment and cognitive decline, including dementia risk. Re:GARDE is a low-cost, personalized, remotely managed VR program developed with Re:LAB to improve visual perception in older adults. Built around the clinically validated Re:Vision application and expanded with additional vision assessment tools (Re:ViewD and Re:ShapeD), the study evaluates the feasibility and benefits of delivering vision training in community settings to support healthy aging and prolonged independence.
