VR HEADSET
Powering On Your Headset
Hold down the power button on the right side of the headset to turn it on. Volume controls (+/-) can be found on the bottom side of the headset.
Charge the headset by connecting the charger and cable to the the port found on the left side of the device.
Wearing Your Headset
Position the headset device over your face and pull the adjustable strap over the top of your head.
A spacer is provided to allow extra room for glasses. Install the spacer prior to trying the headset over glasses to avoid scratching the lenses.
Adjusting The Fit
Secure the headset using the top adjustable strap and the side buckles. Check for correct fit by slowly moving the headset up and down until the picture is clear. Continue adjusting the straps as necessary so that the headset remains firm but comfortable against your face.
Elite Strap Option
The Elite strap is a second strap option for the Oculus Quest 2. Find out how to swap to the Elite strap here.
Adjust the fit of the Elite strap by using the top (black) strap as well as the adjustment knob at the back. While wearing the headset, rotate the knob clockwise or counter-clockwise until you achieve the desired fit.
Interpupillary Distance
The distance between the two lenses can be adjusted by pushing them towards or away from each other. There are three different presets to choose from.
CONTROLLERS
Using The Controllers
To access and use the applications in our studies, the buttons most commonly used include the mini joysticks (scrolling), Oculus buttons (for menu or to re-centre screen), and the triggers (for selection).
Remove the cover by sliding downwards on the controller to change the AA battery.
